Rumor: Alpha Protocol delayed until June 2010

Saturday, 26th September 2009 14:58 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

Alpha Protocol is supposed to be coming out October 27, but rumors flying around the internet state that it has been pushed into spring 2010.

Gamestop has it up for preorder on its site, and down for a June 1, 2010 release. Amazon Canada is showing June 30, and yet Amazon US is still showing October 27.

So who’s right, we’re wondering.

We’ll send a mail out to Obsidian and SEGA and see if either get back.

Thanks, BigDownload.

If this is true I may well break down and cry.

    Big Whoop!

… It’s not like we haven’t got a ton of games to buy already.

I’ve got plenty of games coming in the next few months.. this game can wait.

Can it fuck, we’ve got like 3 RPG’s this christmas and Obsidian make fucking fantastic games (well, not on a technical level, but on a design level). The actual best time to release this game is october, before it’s more highly publicised alternatives of Mass Effect 2 and Splinter Cell come out.

I have to say, I’ve had a slightly bad feeling about this for a while. There just didn’t seem to be enough hype for it to be launching in October. A delay to June would be HUGE though!

Arse! Although it’s only a rumour, the Obsidian Entertainment Twitter presence is remaining ominously silent all of a sudden :-/

With Dragon Age off the cards, PS3 RPG gaming this winter is looking a bit rough :-(
