There was mention here that Sony were to release UK/US date on this site yesterday? I guess that did not materialise?

Played GT5P last night after the days GT5 press releases. The 458 tribute video is on GT TV to dl in HD. Lovely.

Still >March is going to be a hard wait, it seems like an eternal wait. I think nearly every buyer of a ps3 in the back of their minds is also thinking about this game.

I suspect that sales may rise big time come release time in EU.

alot of sonys games may take alot of time to come out, but i find with thier games the final product is so much better then alot of games i can mention

Forza 3 HA! more like Forza 2.5 and that rewind BS doesn’t make it anywhere near a racing sim. If you fuck up, you fuck up plain and simple. As for damage the game doesn’t seem to be 100% and March is still 6 months away.

That said… I think anyone that mentions SHIFT, GRID and Forza 3 in the same sentence wouldn’t recognise a sim game if it rolled over them.

I would have to dedicate 6 months to catch up on everything xbox like you did with PS3 and I just don’t have the time at the moment. The prestige edition is due for release day, but the way the post is at the moment, I wouldn’t want to rely on that…

You can remove 0 point games from your game list TEA. Just go into the achievement screen and select delete.

As for false / true. If you really think SHIFT / GRID are the same as Forza 3 (other than being racing games)… it’s not a case of being right or wrong, it’s more a case of not having a clue.

I was making a point before that interestingly enough, it’s the arcadey style games that seem to be taking over in terms of the intense experince that being in a super actually is IRL.

I was in an F430 Scuderia the other day, and believe me when I say that so called sims like GT and Forza don’t even come close in terms of replicating that feeling.

The arcade racers do a much better job of it, even though they obviously lose out on realism when it comes to tweaking and customising, etc.

lucky you G1GA. get as much as an advantage while you can because the race to the top of the list in F4A is going to be intense. I just hope they have something extra for me to use against you and that silenced P90.

I went in a GT car on an Atari press trip once. I was driven round a track in France. It was absolutely fucking terrifying. It’s not possible for a game to replicate the sensation of, “I could actually die now.”

Forza and Gran Turismo still look very pretty, though.

I rather enjoyed Ninety Nine Nights, actually.

@ tea: yeah, I’ll probably practice just learning the maps. I think what happened last time was that people who played it early had all their stats reset on official release day, so I won’t spend too much time trying to rank up.

@ Pat: LOL! Sure, no game will probably ever be able to give you a genuine sense of the thrill of real life speed, but some are getting better at pretending, while others are pretty much the same game that they were almost 10 years ago.
