Big Park plans to release a new Xbox Live title this holiday season called Joy Ride which will be downloadable for free and you can continue playing through micro-transactions later on.

In the MMO-ish game, you can use your Avatar to race around in vehicles and explore the game.

To make money, the game will offer “rich customization options through micro-transactions to suit every personality,” according to a press release received by MTV.

Expansions and other downloadable content, including stunt parks, tracks, cars, car upgrades, Avatar clothing and animations, and new events will be made available for it as well.

Sounds interesting to say the least.

Yeah Johnny, but for some reason it’s “news” today, so here it is. Conformity in it’s finest :-D

God I’m bored. And not very funny.

The problem with games like this is that you’ll get very little up front and then they charge you out the ass for everything extra. So in the end, the content you would have payed 30-50 bucks for will end up costing you 80-100. This À la carte gaming crap is fucking garbage.
