GamesRadar may have had the exclusive – give it a few hours, or tomorrow possibly.

But seriously, I’ll get this no matter what the critical consensus is. But I’m hoping it’s a 90+ average.

I am not reading any reviews, just the scores. I already know too much about the game thanks to all the news on it and I don’t want any more spoiled for me.

@Steph: Ha, I don’t know anything about it so far. The only trailer I’ve seen was the first teaser since than I’ve ignored every single news about it.
It’ll be the first time since I started using the Internet to find out about games that I don’t know the story, the characters nor the setting or anything else.
I can only guess some of the locations since I know that it has something to do with the lost ships of Marco Polo’s fleet; Indonesia (or thereabout) and India.

Really looking forward to see how it turned out.

GamesRadar score is actually 10/10 according to the review linked.

I had that up there at first Cort till the large thumbs-up A+ pic. Changed.

The multiplayer is definitely something truly special.

Is something very special indeed, and thats coming from somebody who traditionally hates third person perspectives. o_O Great game from what I’ve played of the MP, so I suspect SP will be brilliant.

Nice! This game is getting better and better! This game is a must buy! I’m getting this, and Flashpoint 2 in October. They are out within a week of each other! That is going to be the best couple of weeks EVER!

I think I’ll give this a rent. I didn’t really rate the first game that much (I stopped playing it when things got a bit silly), but I’m open to giving this one a go.

I’d be willing to bet cachucha and DaMan have not yet played the multiplayer… Ignorant “overrated” comments such as this really piss me off, especially when a game REALLY IS that good which is WHY it’s getting all the fantanstic reviews and word of mouth to begin with.

Play the damn game. Judge for yourselves. Personally? I think it’s a revolution in the multiplayer shooter genre. It’s doing for 3rd person multiplayer what Halo did for 1st person multiplayer.

@Pud: I played it ages ago you smurfbiter… and yes, I did discuss it with you. Dope’s affecting your long term memory (or the smurfs, I’ve heard they do it too).

I did play the demo, and it didn’t appeal to me… then I played the full game, and it was better… but there came a point I just couldn’t be arsed going back.

The scores so far are the exclusives, one per territory. General embargo goes up on the 29th.

I think we’re going to see 9s and 10s across the board here, including Eurogamer and Edge.

@pudding – I gtfo out of this thread. I did argue with you about the first one, half a year ago, didn’t I?

Reminds me of Halo on the Xboxone, where all of the xbox owners were raving over it, and PS2 only folks were claiming it was shit(even tho most of em never played the thing in the first place). I played the first one, rented it, didn’t like it. I mean they are worse ways to spend a few hours but .. ya know, I could think of much better games I would rather sit down with. I will wait till I play the full thing to give my full opinion. But at this point, seems a bit over hyped. But at this point in the PS3 lifecycle I think it is more important for Sony to have game like this then people might think(hence the hype monster on the loose). The game doesn’t have to be the end all and be all, just so long as people enough people claim it is. But maybe a full play through will change my mind. If all the giddie as for the Multi – no freaken thanks I have yet to see a multi game on PSN that wasn’t full of team killing. Which almost makes me cry – I really wanna love MAG(256 freaken players – yah!). Time will tell.

Well, I haven’t played the game, but I’ve watched what videos I can and I wasn’t as impressed by this as I was by Arkham Asylum. Also, the idea of using the PS3′s asinine analog sticks for control makes me want to shove an eye toy up Jack Tretton’s ass.

haha I thought I was the only one. I hate the PS sytle controlers, always have. Two analog sticks that close together … always gives me fits. I riged up a old usb connector that allows me to use a XBOXone controller – no lie. It works on most of my ps2 and ps3 games.

I’ve already figured that I would most likely have to get one of those connects to do just that pracer if I ever bought a PS3. Guess I’ll find out in February which console I’ll buy.

When there’s an article or topic about a game, and you bring the discussion back to the platforms.

If that was aimed at me, then I think you completely don’t understand what Microsoft is.

Had I said Xbox exclusives, maybe you’d have been right (and I’d have been factually wrong).

But I said Microsoft. As a publisher, they have been EXTREMELY successful this generation. They market their software products to be the ‘be all and end all’. And they reap the rewards, not only oin perception, but also in sales. Whether those marketing budgets represent a good initial invest for one title, is something different, (and is somewhat irrelevant with franchises) that I only bring up to show you I have recognised that.

But if you want to take some sort of high ground here (claiming I am a fanboy) make sure you aren’t manipulating my words too transparently.

The Beta is incredible. Absolutely love the multiplayer modes. Cant wait for the full game to drop!

I will state this. I played the 1st Uncharted to death and loved it. Some others didn’t and that’s fine.

I’m looking forward to the second as much as anyone else. So the only review that counts for me is my own. These other reviews about the game being great is nice and all, but don’t get so hung up about it. If you do, ok then that’s you, but don’t be so quick to judge others. AT least, judge the game by what you see and your own personal preferences. That’s what I do Just a thought

Maybe I am jaded but I don’t expect every dickwad who staggers onto this site and posts on these articles to be worth time speaking with – only reacting to. Especially with off the cuff remarks, such as yours.

If it’s not off the cuff, I am sure you will be happy to continue this conversation, with some worthwhile insight.
