Valve “surprised” over Left 4 Dead 2 banning in Australia

left4dead23

Valve’s Doug Lombardi has expressed that he was surpirsed to learn Left 4 Dead 2 was banned in Australia.

“We were surprised to hear of this news yesterday,” he told Shack. “Obviously, everyone at Valve is pretty bummed.

“It would be a shame if folks in Australia, or anywhere else, are unable to purchase Left 4 Dead 2 because of a ratings issue.”

It was revealed yesterday that the OFLC in Australia banned the game due to “realistic, frenetic and unrelenting violence”.

Game’s out for the rest of the globe on PC and Xbox 360 November 17 – except for down under unfortunately.

Why be surprised, Australia is well on it’s way to being a police state with Germany and the UK not far behind.

On the other hand, having your game banned because the violence in it is too “realistic, frenetic and unrelenting” can only be great advertising for sales in the good ol’ United States of Blood Lust.

Well Stickboy, most of its citizens are beginning to feel that way, especially when they practically have a camera watching them do everything but crap.

Brits, I’d check your loos just to be sure.
