Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling chatted a bit with GiantBomb during the recent Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer event in LA.

In the video interview, posted below the break, Bowling explains why the developers felt the need to show off the new mulitplayer to the press, discusses why the game is not “considered a sequel”, talks about killstreaks, and other such stuff.

It’s all quite interesting, really.

Head on below the break.

I hope all this yakking about MP doesn’t mean they’ve screwed the pooch on the single player experience.

Looks good to me. I think the Singleplayer will be like the one before, short and sweet :)

As for the Multiplayer, that’s their bread and butter. No offense, I know they say they don’t want to call it a sequel, but it is. There is nothing wrong with that, embrace it.

With it being a sequel you add to the already great install base on the first one and then add all those great extras you mention.

    nice interview.
