Lucidity “looks like a children’s storybook set in motion”

IGN’s posted a hands-on of LucasArts’ now-confirmed XBLA puzzler Lucidity, calling the game a “children’s storybook set in motion”.

Lucidity charges the player with placing props around an ever-moving girl in order to protect her from harm.

Apparently the title, which releases on October 7, “is shaping up to be one of the prettiest and most unique XBLA releases of the year.”

It can’t be “most unique,” Mr IGN. Just saying.

Some screens and a couple of videos through there.

This looked really great until the actual game started. Seems like a really basic twitch-puzzle game, which is somewhat disappointing given the art style. And the “pieces” that you use to create the path look awful, they jar horribly with the rest of the art.

You’re the first journalist I’ve come across with good standards of grammar, Pat. Just saying.

I feel bad about writing that. I live in the world’s largest glass house.

Given the number of times we’ve corrected you, I’d say your glass house is pretty much sand at this stage. :D

Puke O Rama….This game is nothing more then Lemmings, throwing themselves off the edge of a cliff…In fact this really is Lemmings, No control over the character, only placing objects in the environment as the Female Lemming runs across the screen…Oh well Lemmings Fans should go crazy
