Just Cause 2 video shows vertical combat and gameplay
The video past the break for Just Cause 2, shows how players can use a grappling hook or hijack a helicopter to get to their enemies.
With either one, you can free fall, pull the rip chord on your parachute and then start firing rounds into people or aircraft while steering yourself in the air.
Neato.
Game’s out in 2010 for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

The parachute is an interesting concept, but requires a pretty massive suspension of disbelief. Namely because it appears that the parachute is a magic parachute that can pack itself away instantly and is impervious to gunfire.
In reality the bad guys would simply shoot at the massive target that is the parachute (black I might add) and let you fall to your death/crippled legs.

Yeah, a superb game will contextualise it’s mechanics in a believeable fashion.
And if they don’t you might as well just go ridiculous, to make them fun and freeform. And this does that, the game looks great.
