STAR TREK®: D-A-C FROM PARAMOUNT DIGITAL ENTERTAINMENT ¬COMING TO WINDOWS PC AND PLAYSTATION®NETWORK IN NOVEMBER
PlayStation®3 System and PC Gamers Will Enjoy Exclusive All-New Content Including New Ship Classes, Variable AI Settings and New Game Modes, Plus Stereoscopic 3D Compatibility on PC
LOS ANGELES – Sept. 9, 2009 – Paramount Digital Entertainment, Bad Robot Interactive, CBS and Naked Sky Entertainment today announced that Star Trek®: D-A-C will be available for Windows PC and PlayStation®Network players in November. Inspired by the recent blockbuster “Star Trek” motion picture from Paramount Pictures, Star Trek: D-A-C is a fast-paced, top-down space shooter where players take the captain’s chair and engage in intense online multiplayer or co-op battles. Pick up and play in your favorite starship and lead your team to victory!

Currently available on the Xbox LIVE® Arcade for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, the new Windows PC and PlayStation Network version of Star Trek: D-A-C will both feature exclusive new content, including two new ship classes, a new game mode, several new pick-ups, a new map for assault mode, and more. On the PC, the game will also be 3D compatible with the Nvidia® 3D VisionTM 3D stereoscopic experience. Star Trek: D-A-C will be available for PC users to download through Valve’s Steam distribution service.

Star Trek: D-A-C allows fans to directly control a variety of ships and pitch battles between Starfleet and the Romulan Empire. Up to 12 players can compete in thrilling team combat. There are three game play modes: Single player, online multiplayer and online co-op. For each mode, there are four different game types - Team Assault, DeathMatch, Conquest, and the all-new Survival mode, pitting players against increasingly overwhelming waves of enemies in order to set the record for survival time.

Players can now choose from five ship types for each faction - the all-new Missile Corvette, all-new Support Frigate, Bomber, Fighter and Flagship - with each ship offering unique capabilities for players to master and manipulate as they fight for victory. The Missile Corvette, a heavy artillery ship features a longer range than any other ship in the game, but vulnerable to close range attacks due to a low rate of fire and slower flight speed. The Support Frigate allows players to heal friendly ships and easily target escape pods. The nimble Bomber speeds in and out of battles, dropping bombs in its wake. The Fighter attacks ships head-on, blasting missiles and dodging attacks. The durable Flagship allows players to target enemies with a reticule and inflict damage on incoming ships with its shields. The Starfleet Flagship is the U.S.S. Enterprise™ featured in the new “Star Trek” film.

In addition to featuring the new U.S.S. Enterprise, Star Trek: D-A-C incorporates music and signature sounds taken directly from the new “Star Trek” film.
