PAX swine flu cases confirmed

paxlogo

The PAX twitter feed‘s confirmed that swine flu cases were present at the show.

A list of 15 flights – both from Seattle and ongoing connections – that contained attendees carrying the illness is now up on the Penny Arcade homepage.

Kotaku has a quote on the outbreak from Robert Khoo of Penny Arcade:

“This is the real thing. If you get this number of people together in this close a proximity it is the perfect storm for these kind of wild fire virus spreads. We just want to make sure everyone is informed.”

Thanks, GP.

Good job they already had Comic-Con or we could have been looking at the total extinction of geeks in the Americas within a few weeks. :-D

I wonder how the TGS will go. Maybe people will have to wear some kind of isolation suits ;)

THis “swine” flu is bullshit its not even epidemic. Its the damn flu and if you are sick with the flu don’t be going anywhere. Media just wants to create something to report becauses its been slow in the news.

Apparently Chris Kohler of Game | Life (Wired.com’s gaming blog) has caught it.

The event should probably be renamed POX.
