Lost Planet 2 demo beats RE5 demo downloads in first 24 hours
The Lost Planet 2 multiplayer demo saw monster level of interest when it released last month.
“In 24 hours we actually got more downloads of the Lost Planet 2 demo than we did of Resident Evil 5,” Capcom’s Chris Kramer told us this week, talking in the VG247 podcast.
“That kind of astonished all of us.”
The publisher didn’t give exact figures on the latest teaser, but the Resident Evil 5 demo set a Live record in February, with 1.8 million downloads in its first week of availability. It did 1.3 million in the first three days.
The Lost Planet 2 demo released on the first day of GamesCom, August 19. It was a Live-only banana.

So will LP2 actually have a plot to it or is it now just missions like in Monster Hunter?

Yeah thats why i’m wondering if LP2 will have a story at all, the demo made it look more like Monster Hunter but with guns…

Most of the RE fans had d-loaded the demo from the net and burned it onto a disc to play in the 360.

i was a litle disappointed by the lp2 demo…i loved lp and played it online for a long long time…the demo looks unpolished – it´s fun, but not as much as i thought it would be. i also do not like the menue and some other design descissions…i still think it will be a great game…yes it will have a story – you can play through campaign alone or up to 4 guys coop…you will fight these bosses, like in the demo, but thankfully snowpirates, smaller akrids and vs´s as well…let´s hope they redesign some things…they did after the demo for the first lp came out…
