What the God of War Collection looks like
Kotaku’s posted the cover art from the God of War Collection. The one Europeans are going to be importing before Christmas.
It looks pretty. We want it. And yet we won’t be able to buy it in Britain. So cruel.

So, as this is technically a PS3 game, I’m guessing it’ll be region free then?

Having never owned a PS2 I haven’t played these games. But I want to. This would be a day one purchase for me. Sony, do the right thing. The UK has feelings too you know!

Well the problem with each branch of Sony is that they are always going against each other. Also I think US must of did more sales for GOW then UK did. Not sure what would make them do this tho. If its region free not to worry though, you’ll be able to play it.

Typical over-busy US box-art. They never learn.

Lutz – We’re checking on the region-free thing. We’ll get something back from SCEA later today, hopefully.

I think the region locking (or not) will depend on how big a bag of dicks Sony Europe want to be. They’ve been known to show offence in the past to the idea that they might lose sales to another territory.
I think it’ll be region free though.

I’m assuming it won’t be locked, but it’s a big game and you never know. It’ll be a story-and-a-half if they do lock it.

If they lock we kick the fuck off. Boycott another game in protest that they want to sell big. Hell, I’d fuck off my PS3 and trade it in for a calculator just to prove a point.
That’s not true. I never said that.
I will be pissed though.
