You can faff and put what you think you'll want on the phone whilst away, perhaps recoding it to work/fit on your phone, or you can have access to everything you own. Yes people have fast internet connections, but if a big demo is released (both in size and anticipatedness) then waiting until you get home you will find that it's not your zippy connection at home which is limiting the speed but the thousands of other people trying to get the thing at the same time.
