EA’s GC Press Event: Tim Schafer talks multiplayer in Brutal Legend

EA’s press event at GamesCom is ongoing, and Tim Schafer is showing off weapons for the game and multiplayer battles.
One weapons is Eddie’s guitar, Clementine, which can pull-off pyrotechnic attacks and combos which change a little bit depending on which way you’re facing. You can customize and upgrade it later in the game, with the help of Ozzy.
Mission by mission, you unlock new allies to help out, each of which comes with its own double-team attack.
According to Tim, there is loads of “metal” detail in the game.
“You used to stare at record covers for hours, looking for details – we want to let players explore that kind of world for themselves,” he said. “We want to create the experience of falling into an album cover.
“Brutal Legend is an action game where you play a heroic badass, fighting dudes who listen to hair metal.”
The multiplayer is being shown for the first time, so is the car which allows you to “drive over dudes” and get a chrome paint job.
