Report - Japanese FFXIII date to be confirmed next week

According to a report from PafuNews, Square Enix has invited Western and Japanese media for a premiere event next Tuesday in Tokyo for Final Fantasy XIII, where it's speculated that the publisher will confirm the Japanese date for the game.

It comes as Square president Yoichi Wada said a couple of weeks back that a date for the game would be announced soon. So far, the title's been confirmed for a winter release in Japan for PS3.

We wait with anticipation and nerves.

FFXIII producer Yoshinori Kitase told VG247 at GamesCom two weeks ago that the game will see a spring 2010 release on PS3 and 360 in the West.
