Monster Hunter 3 cheater gets banned until 9999

monsterhunter31b

Buuuurn.

Capcom’s thrown down the banhamer on one poor bastard who decided to cheat while playing Monster Hunter 3. How long is the ban? 7 millenia, as in December 12 9999. The message from Capcom, which confirms the ban, reads:

Dear Customer

You are presently banned for using modded data to connect online. The ban will be left at 22:49 on 12/12/9999. The next time you violate the terms of use, you will never again be able to connect.

Thanks, Kotaku.

Wont he pretty much just has to delete his player data to generate a new friend code and then re-register online to get going again?

Having to pay a sub for the online is a bit of a joke anyway, so I can see why people would want to hack their way online instead.

“The next time you violate the terms of use, you will never again be able to connect”

Seems a bit extraneous, that’s whatcha get for using a standard letter with your ridiculous ban period.

wtf, that is both harsh and funny, i sort a feel sorry that the bastard won’t able to play MH3 for 7990 years, but then again he did try to cheat, and this does show me that when it comes to their MH franchise that capcom doesn’t screw around around
