I imagine this has a lot to do with the company that microsoft contracted to produce HDMI cables for them. Chances are the contract with them finished and they’re seeking to reduce their outgoings.

My 360 doesn’t have hdmi, am I missing something?
The graphics look A1 on my HD TV.

Anyway, fail @ Microsoft. Who are you kidding? The HDMI cable was removed to reduce the cost of parts that come with the machine, hence more profit.

I don’t think the fact that you can buy a HDMI cable for next to nothing is problem – it’s more to do with the Average Joe not knowing this and either buying a console without one or getting ripped off in GAME/PC World/wherever by buying their expensive HDMI cable.

But, I suppose it still comes with component, so it’s not so bad.
