“Big plans” for Brink 2 and 3 already on table, says Ham

Splash Damage’s Brink will mark the start of a “landmark franchise” likely to stretch to at least three games, creative director Richard Ham told EGTV at GamesCom.

“Players are putting a lot of money on the table; they want to know what they’re getting into,” said the developer.

“But at the end of the day, I think if they’re willing to take a chance, they will find this becomes another landmark franchise that they’ll want to keep coming back to.

“I’m looking forward to Brink 2 and 3 as well. We already have big plans for that.”

The shooter’s out for PC, PS3 and 360 early next year. There’s plenty more info in that interview.

Can any body bring me up to speed on what this game is all about? It must have totally slipped me by…

I hear Brink 2 will fix some of the issues in Brink, and add more features and whatnot. I’ll wait for that.

It’s a shooter (unsurprisingly) and all I’ve seen is a video backing out of someones eye…if that makes sense.

Anyone round here actually played it or seen it in action yet…?

Len: I had a few minutes with it at GamesCom, and it looked mighty awesome. Took me by surprise, really.
