Battlefield 2 patch 1.50 arrives on September 1

Battlefield 2′s official 1.50 patch will be released this coming Tuesday, September 1, after being in the works for about a year or so.
The patch will add the Operation Blue Pearl map added to the game, widescreen support, the ability to use the Novint Falcon controller and the usual changes and bug fixes.
Players will need to have the previously released map Highway Tampa in order to get the patch.
Euro Forces and Armored Fury will now be included in the free patch, bringing the map total up to eight.
Nice patch, there.
More information can be obtained by visiting the official website.
Thanks, BigDownload.

Arguably, still the best FPS on PC, and STILL a very, very large community. Yeah, the patching process certainly hasn’t had the best of records, but for a game this old and to still receive support, is unprecedented imo.

Yeah to think that nearly 5yrs later it is still the best online shooter the Pc has, is both a testament to the original game and a crying shame….
It cant be a coincidence that since the arrival of the ‘Fisher Price’ console kiddies in 2005/2006, decent online Pc shooters in the BF2 mould have all but ended.
Heres praying for BF3 in 2010……..

Yeh amazing FPS im really hopin BF3 will be similar with obvious upgrades and hopfully BF3 wont be anythin like bad company. Bad company is nice in its own way but i really dont want the bad company spice all over the true battlefield franchise

I’m really looking forward to it and I’m glad the DLC boosters are included too, instantly adding to the playable map count.

Wow, all these years and only 8 freaking maps. That’s just sad.

The patch adds eight maps not that there are only eight maps in BF2, the release version of the game had twelve, others were patched in afterwards already.
Plus all the custom maps the community have made mean there’s no shortage of battlefields in Battlefield 2.
