“Something like” LAN to be included with StarCraft II and Diablo III

Speaking with Shacknews, developer Greg Canessa said that Blizzard will probably include a LAN-like solution with games like StarCraft II and Diablo III.

“Something like that,” he replied when asked about a LAN solution that’d keep in touch with “Maintaining a connection with, I don’t know if it’s once or periodically, but then also having a peer-to-peer connection between players to facilitate a very low-ping, high-bandwidth connection.. those are the things that we’re working on.”

Better than nothing, right? We think so.

Well seeing as you pretty much cant play any pirated game online these days i’m sure anyone who does download it will get it for the SP.

Depends if we can still play on two computers with one game like we could do back then with the multiplayer spawns.

I’ve got a feeling you wont be able to and i think it really voids the point of LAN, i had to search for a keygen and no CD crack for C&C3 and Red Alert 3 ffs to play IN MY OWN HOME when i legally owned copies of the games.

How does that void the point of lan? Every time I had a LAN each computer had its legal copy of the game. Lan centers are giving licenses to allow the use on multiple machines…

I am glad they are doing something to shut people up. No reason they couldnt have the account verify its legit, then allow for lan plan without being on
