Molyneux received hate mail over Fable II ending
Peter Molyneux has told GameSetWatch that people were so upset over the ending of Fable II that he received hate mail.
Apparently, some gamers were upset over the choices you had to make during endgame, which ultimately forced Lionhead to enact some changes with the DLC due to complaints getting to “such a furor”.
If you have played the game, you know of what he speaks. However, we won’t spoil anything for you just in case you have yet to play it – but rest assured, it won’t happen again.
“Don’t expect us to be as merciful as that in the future,” said Molyneux.

I hessitate to call it an ending, it was rather WTF, i understand why it was like that but it left some unanswered questions (to be expected) and just felt cheap.

Oh, and I think the changes they made using DLC are specifically related to one aspect of the game at the end…

Sure were Psycho, but the option I chose made no difference when DLC came into play because I chose the “girly” option

It was a terrible ending to a pretty mediocre game. It felt like they had run out of ideas…massive anti climax.

The game’s only short if you ignore all the sidequests and other stuff. With Fable II you get out what you put in – anyone racing through the story to the end isn’t getting the best kind of Fable II experience. It’s a game to savour, really.
