Is it me or is that deeper than the Fat? It goes further back to make it’s front face less wide.

Shorter, a lot flatter, but wider (or deeper depending on how you have it)

I only see 2 USB ports… Am I right?

Yep only 2, just like the 80Gb’s, no opening flap with card readers either.

I love mine.. With 4 USB, sd card slot, and plays PS2 games… Way worth it.
I’ll get this one for my living rm…use as a Bluray player.

Looks much nicer than the original. The fatty looks terrible next to it.

Looks ok in the renders. Not so nice when it’s being held / real shots.

the original still looks better to me (spidey font baby) but im still getting this day 1. 2 more weeks can’t wait plus i have to get a psp go…what? it grew on me ok

i like my electronics to match ok just like a woman with her clothes. My purse has to match my shoes GOOOOOO SOOOOOOONY!

then buy one if you don’t have it yet. all i can say is, i’m glad for being an early adapter. my ps3′s are the best versions.

I got 3 Sony bravias, PSP 3000, PSP2000 for my daughter (watched downloaded Dora) a PS3, 2 Vaios, and Sony surround system….

Ugh… why? Everything else I can understand (well, you’d be better off with Panny / Pioneer Plasmas) but Sony make god awful surround sound gear.

I’ll actually agree….my bro has a sick surround set up… But… I just can’t see another brand. Maybe its an OCD thing…

Every electronic in my house is Sony. The companys tech is just to damn good and stylish. I want to buy a iphone but the sony inside of me won’t let me

I have a Yamaha surround sound system, never done me wrong. Plus they make motorbikes vroooommm!

I like Toshiba most atm, but I don’t really have much brand loyalty as far as tech stuff is concerned.

I saw the new Samsung LED stuff in the shop the other day, and wanted a 46″ one almost immediately.

The blacks are actually completely black. One of the best picture qualities I’ve ever seen.

The only problem with those (and all LED LCDs at the mo) is that the lag is pretty bad. I currently have a Sony and two Samsungs… doubt I’ll upgrade now until we start to see Laser TVs (if they ever arrive).

Oh, that’s a shame.

The one that I saw was boasting 100Hz, and seemed quite smooth compared to what was around it.

I’ll do a little research I think. I want one, but response time is a pretty big issue for me being a ‘twitch shooter’ and all…

in my world yes. seriously you don’t find something wrong with a 360 next to a bravia. i can see a toshiba regza or samsung, but bravia? no! doesn’t work like that sorry.

So someone that worships a multi billion dollar corporation to that extent and persists with this whole “console war” mentality shouldn’t be pitied? I’m guessing based on your post that you’re in a similar (if possibly less extreme) boat, so I wouldn’t expect you to understand just how screwed up it is.

Nah, I’m done. There’s never going to be any reasoned discussion on that topic. Suffice to say that as someone who has owned every console in the last two generations I find it a little strange, and very depressing.

Why the need to pity for having a certain preference that doesn’t really hurt anyone.

It goes beyond a preference though doesn’t it? It’s more like a cult… and we all know how those can be. When it gets to the point where you’re attacking others for playing a certain machine, and defending a company against all possible slights (real or imagined) then it’s probably gone too far.
