Rumour – Play.com list Gears of War 2 GOTY edition
If a listing from Play.com is correct, a Gears of War 2 GOTY edition is on it’s way.
There is no new details on the game itself, just a standard synopsis on the game as it is. But the page does have a date for the game – September 18 2009.
It comes as details emerged last night that a Fable II GOTY edition was on its way. We’ll contact Microsoft about this, see if this is true.

Ooh, I’ve been thinking of picking up Gears 2 again as I loved it. It’s be interesting to see what a GOTY edition might contain – hopefully all the maps and Dark Corners.

Both the Fable II and the Gears of War 2 product page (at Play.com) has september 18 as release date. Just saying.

Why is it ‘game of the year’ edition? Why not ‘director’s cut’? Or ‘gold edition’? Or ‘re-release with all the shit that should’ve been in it from the start that you paid extra for you mug edition’?

From their own website it looks like it only won a 360 specific GoTY award, no proper GoTY awards. I say buy then class action for distress and hurt!
