Rumour – KMart confirm PS3 price cut and PS3 slim [Update]
Update: Even better, KMart have the Slim on pre-sale for $299 and on sale from August 24th, next Monday. More here.
Original Story: Only 8 hours and 34 minutes left until that presser, innit?
American retail chain KMart has revealed what finally seems to be what we’ve already known for months: a PS3 price-cut and the PS3 Slim.
“The rumors are reality. New low price & a new exciting Playstation 3,” is what it says on the retailer’s website.
If it wasn’t official before, it is now – Sony are bad at keeping things a secret.

Who said it had to be a different shape? Just reduce the base by a cm or two and there you have it…

I dont think thats the slim, based off the size of the pad it appears tobe exactly the same size as the original.

rrod360lol, that wouldn’t exactly be unprecedented. They aren’t a specialist videogame retailer, I doubt they’re too fussed about Sony’s grammatical guidelines.

Seems like KMart have been quite shrewd with the wording. They haven’t made any reference to an actual slim console, just a “new exciting” one. That way if all Sony announce is the same machine but with a bigger hard drive they can’t be accused of false advertising.
