Yeah, the translation is pretty crappy. Trying to work out what’s going on is proving to be a bit of a nightmare. Hopefully it wont be too long before we see the English site updated so we can get the proper details.

This game is as much about being Pokemon to some people as it is about being a driving game.

And not only that… 1000 cars means theres more of a chance that your car is in it. And it gives you choice.

And although it won’t be, my car MIGHT have been a Kia or Hyundai, in which case, I’d want to have access to it.

Fair enough; take your point. But let’s get real here: I’m a huge GT fan, but honestly, GT5 won’t show you one bit what a real car drives like. No game can.

I regularly drive the car in GT5P that I have in real life and to even start to try and compare the two experiences is patently absurd (and I use a G25 and playseat).

But I was going to buy a car based off of what I played in Gran Turismo! (and then try to sue Polyphony)

But they will never be able to completely recreate the feeling perfectly. The point is, you want to feel how your car drives, in the game, in comparison to other cars.

Actually I sometimes drive The Wife’s car in GT5P. My beloved Audi isn’t available. Yet.

1000 cars but only 170 “premium” ones… it mentions full interior, damage but I hope that doesn’t mean the rest (the majority) don’t have any cockpit. The amount of time they’ve had every car should have a proper cockpit.

And if cars can flip (from the andriasang thing), and any kind of ‘deformation’ is included, it really can’t be on a specific car basis, can it?

I’d be disappointed given the press release, hinting at it. But I have played all the GT games before without it, and theres much more important stuff in there that makes it great to me.

Well, I alluded to that article already.

The fact is they are working from the same news. It’s just vague. The point is there WON’T be 830 3D models from GT4, firstly becuase GT4 did not have 830 cars, and secondly becuase the process of making them GT5 quality, would render (not 3D render) upgrading them pretty much useless. And they won’t be GT4 models.

But we just don’t know when it comes to interiors and damage. They might be right, they might not be. I am waiting for the interview to come out of GamesCOM, since Kaz is there and doing interfaces (according to one GAF post).

I can’t really see there being any reason why I wouldn’t get it anyway. Just these things get built up to crazy hype levels and there’s always the chance of disappointment because of it.
