LBP GOTY edition coming in September, includes ModNation Racers beta code

lbpgoty1

Instead of playing, creating, and sharing, you watched and waited. And now, your patience has been rewarded. LittleBigPlanet’s getting a game of the year edition with so many bonuses that you’ll wonder how the vanilla edition of LBP ever managed to win game of the year in the first place. The only downside? It’ll run you $60.

Fortunately, it packs plenty of bang for your buck. For your money, you’ll nab:

* 18 new levels made by players just like you
* 7 different content packs
* Exclusive access to the upcoming ModNation Online beta

The new levels also include interviews with each creator.

For all the nitty-gritty details, check out the PlayStation Blog.

Ahh… Mod Nation, the game that should have been Little Big Carting.

So true.

How they screwed that one up, I will never know.

Possibly because MM didn’t want to be associated with that crap. Well, I think it looks rubbish, anyway.

But Sony clearly do… And I’d bet that Sony own the LBP IP, and the Sackboy.

It’s ridiciulous there’s not a standard, like the Xbox Avatars and Wii’s Mii’s.

Frankly I’m astounded that someone at Sony didn’t notice it’s a perfect fit. Probably missing the likes of ol’ baldy right now.

There are a hell of a lot of ‘games of the year’ this year.

Good point Blerk. Gears2, Fable2, LBP, Fallout3, am I missing any? Doesn’t GOTY have to have some cred behind it?
