Michael Vick to be added to Madden 10 roster

EA has announced that it will add convicted animal abuser and football player Michael Vick to the Philly Eagles roster upon the next Madden 10 update.

Granted, Vick is not eligible to play until week six of the NFL season, per the readmission rules, but it looks like his likeness will grace all versions of the game eventually.

“Michael Vick will be added to the Philadelphia Eagles roster in the next Madden NFL 10 roster update, pending NFLPA and NFL approvals,” said EA’s Rob Semsey.

“The next roster update will go live approximately on August 19th for Xbox 360 and PS3, with additional platforms to follow shortly thereafter.”

Because the NFL are only concerned with the jersey money they will get.

Well, that and he did his time and paid his sentence.

I hate this whole thing with Vick. I loved the guy (for you Brits not in the know look up ‘Hokie + Vick’ and you’ll get a sense of how personal this is to me. My personal belief is that he should be allowed to play in the NFL when all the dogs he killed or had killed in terrible ways come back to life. Still, it is shitty that he got 2 years in prison and lost all of his money plus about $15M more while the other three ‘ring leaders’ got off pretty much scott-free. They made an example out of Vick. Not very fair, imho. I think they all should have been made examples of. What an asshole.

And as for Redh3lix, I won’t flame you dude. You just clearly don’t understand football. These guys are big…waaaaaay big, and fast….waaaaay fast. Those pads aren’t for their own protection, they are weapons. The difference is that a Rugby player would run into a wall and make a hole. An American football player will run into a wall and knock the whole thing down. Just sayin…
