I’m kind of surprised it beat Wii Sports Resort, even though it’s multiplatform. Cricket games have never been very popular in the past… possibly down to them being generally shit. And cricket not being nearly as popular as it once was.
I get this sneaky suspicion that the number of copies required to make the top 10 this week is ‘somewhat low’.

It’s the only place you’ll see England win The Ashes unless they buck their bloody ideas up after the fourth test…

Interestingly enough, that cricket game sold best on the PS3. (I say interesting, but with a chart so boring there’s very little interesting about any of it)

Nothing at all from Activision in the top 10? Must be the first time in a while.

The game is a lot better than the ‘generally shit, as Blerk put it, past cricket games.
Although, there can’t be many people who have it on Xbox 360, since I am ranked 60 in the world for Ranked Twenty-20 after winning one game.

It is safe to say my fellow inhabitants of this fine isle love dem sports games. I however do not. I will not be buying any of the games in the top 5. Nothing in the top 10 takes my fancy actually. Roll on Uncharted 2 and MW2.. that’s all I’m hanging out for.

Charts are weird these days, like FNR4 and UFC both getting to no.1 without much of a hassle. I guess people like sports games.
CoJ seems to be doing well too. Didn’t expect that to make much of a splash either.

I think it’s less to do with people suddenly liking sports games and more to do with ‘bugger all coming out of late apart from sports games’.

CoJ has had a price cut recently too which will have had an effect.

Apparently, Call of Juarez has quite a good multiplayer.
