id Software to ban those with illegal multiplayer build of Wolfenstein, or worse
A multiplayer build of Wolfenstein was leaked last week, and id’s pretty upset about it.
So much so, than anyone who admits to having it will be banned from the forums, or possibly paid a visit by Acti’s legal department.
“It was brought to our attention on Friday, 7/31 that a build of the Wolfenstein Multiplayer was leaked and is now being distributed illegally through breach of NDA and mirrors posted on the internet. I must warn anyone involved that Activision’s legal department is taking this matter very seriously.
“Same applies here on the forums. If you mention that you have acquired this build, you are openly admitting to illegally obtaining the build and will be banned straight away. You have been warned.
“With regards to any footage, screenshots and comments posted here and all over the internet, an important thing to keep in mind is that these were not created from a build of the game that was final or consumer ready.
“There’s nothing we can do about it now except continue working on the game.”
The game is expected to hit retail sometime next week around August 17.

My friend who downloaded it (honestly, a friend), says that particular build was recent and if they had spent 2 years reaching that point, ID is in a lot of trouble. “It really is shit and not Wolfenstein at all. Closer to COD 2 or something”.

i’d be all against pirating the game , but with the crap activision is pulling these days , go for it buccaneers !

and has done since the first screenshots, i really don’t know what id were thinking with this one
hopefully the merger will allow them to focus on engines more and crap games less

So true, I mean I loved the first Wolf 3d and then Return to Castle Wolefenstein but there’s just something about this one that doesn’t feel right.

well.. the beta/game sucks, I feel bad for the poor guys that expected a glorious return of their beloved franchise and met with that piece of turd multiplayer.
And trust me COD2 is waay better than that, im buying modern warfare 2 now.
