The most exciting part of that list is, “lots of PlayStation Network games”. Not that I’m uninterested in the disc titles — I’ll be very surprised if Uncharted 2 isn’t my game of the year — they’re just something of a known quantity.

Having said that, I’m sure the things that aren’t on the list will be the most interesting. If the slim PS3 isn’t announced then A&E is going to be chock full of people choking on their own hats at this point, but there could be some interesting service announcements too: PS2 backwards compatibility, European video store, new firmware features, direction of Home, etcetera.

I think if we don’t see the European Vid Store we can officially kiss it goodbye for this year…though haven’t SCEE kept saying that it’s coming in 2009?

I think it’s about time we saw a big firmware update. Not so much as design change like NXE, but definitely need to see something substantial.

They said in Leipzig last year that the Vid Store was releasing in Europe in 2009, yep.

If they dont announce a proper date for the Vid store in Cologne, you may as well forget about.

Then again, it did take a while for PlayTV and VidZone to come to Europe. PlayTV was announced in Leipzig two years ago, but it didnt come out till September last year, right?

And VidZone was announced last August, but that didn’t release till June.

That said, it’s still ridiculous how long its been between America and EU for this as it is a pretty big feature for the PS3.

If Sony showed the Vid Store and it was somehow compatible or incorporated iPlayer in some way I’d be so pleased. The current solution is pretty bad via the browser.

I know I shouldn’t get my hopes up, but we can dream.

Did Sony say if it was going to be country specific or a blanket store for Europe? I wouldn’t mind checking out some others countries TV programming, particularly the Netherlands…

JAW just confirmed to me that Gravity Crash is going to be there in a “much more advanced state than it was at E3″.

I’m getting worried for the sony wand now, spring probably means december in sony talk.

White Knight Chronicles is interesting, didnt even know it was slated for a PAL release. Unless its there purely for the US journos, now that wouldnt be very fair…

I’d be surprised if we saw anything of The Last Guardian at the TGS tbh let alone GamesCom.

It will be at TGS, it’s coming out Q1 2010 according to Yoshida.

It WAS slated for this year, believe it or not, Yoshida said now it’s playable, it will be seen a lot more. So it’s WILL be at TGS. Just I doubt it will be at GamesCOM, like Johnny.
