Singularity screens start to shine
Raven’s decided to join in the Comic Con fun today, releasing new screens of the now-delayed Singularity. They’re on Shacknews.

Army of Two 40th Day trailer gets moral
EA Montreal’s latest Army of Two: The 40th Day trailer – seen below – details a morality system in the title.
Basically, you press buttons to make choices in certain situations. You can be good or bad. You can make decisions as partners. Want to kill a do-gooding guard? Go ahead. But what about his goddamn family?
And that’s it. It’s out later this year.

Yakuza 4 named Heir to the Legend
Sega’s named the next in the Yakuza series Ryu Ga Gotoku 4: Heir to the Legend, according to Kotaku.
A tiny bit of detail came out overnight. It’ll feature top name Japanese actors and musicians, as ever.
Actors will be mo-capped and modelled for the title. Hiroki Narimiya and Kenta Kiritani have signed on to appear in the game so far.
Platform? PS3. Western release? Keep whistling, bucko.
No date.

Japanese hardware charts – Dragon Quest keeps the DS dream alive
Dear Mr Square,
Just a note to say thanks for Dragon Quest IX. We really like those little dudes, and all the fighting and shit. You’ve done a great job. If you could just bring out more than one a decade, that’d be awesome: we’ve sold almost 290,000 DSes in the past three weeks in Japan. It’s just peachy.
Beer next week? As long as we don’t end up in that tit place again, we’re good.
Cheers,
Mr Nintendo

GT PSP in-game trailer shows eye-bleed quality
Polyphony’s released a trailer of in-game Gran Turismo PSP footage – watch it after the break.
If you’re after very good looking cars driving around on a little screen, you’re in luck. It’s probably not going to get any better than this for a good while.
The game’s a PSP Go launch title on October 1.

If you’re after more on id’s RAGE, today is the best morning in the world ever. Sort of.
A new site related to the game, AfterTheImpact.com, is now live. It features an image you can zoom around. If you click on the man on the left-hand side a lot, he talks.
There’s probably more stuff in there. Have a fiddle. No date on the game as yet.

Halo Legends to be a Spartan affair
Gamespot’s posted up details from yesterday’s Halo Legends panel at Comic Con, revealing the multi-part anime as a plot centred aroudn the story of multiple Spartans.
The lot:
- Legends will explore the stories of many other Spartan soldiers besides Master Chief, including at least one female Spartan.
- They haven’t finished casting yet, which is why they haven’t talked about actors involved.
- Sergeant Johnson won’t be featured in any significant way.
- At least one episode will delve very deeply into the history of the Covenant.
- A lot of the settings in the anime are directly inspired by the series’ multiplayer maps.
- The episode by Casio Entertainment will be purely CG rather than hand-drawn.
- Every episode will be considered canon except for Toei’s, which O’Connor said “are fun” rather than official fiction.

Assassin’s Creed Discovery headed to DS November 20
VG247 understands that a DS version of Assassin’s Creed II – subtitled Discovery – will be released alongside the PC, PS3 and 360 SKUs on November 20 this year.
Play.com apparently understands this as well.
It’s never been announced. Ubi would not confirm nor deny the game’s existence today.
A second DS title has been long-rumoured: rest assured, it’s on.
We’ll have confirmation soon, hopefully.

Dragon Age: Origins videos show race distinction versus storyline

Dragon Age: Origins users will be able to experience different elements of the game depending on which race they decide to pick.
We knew that already. You knew that already.
However, thanks to Comic-Con, some videos showing you just how far this goes have come into play, and BigDownload has the lot of ‘em.
The Dwarf Commoner is featured after the break.

Tatsunoko Vs Capcom video, screens, Fight Stick come out of Comic-Con

A video for Tatsunoko Vs Capcom has been released out of Comic-Con along with some pretty pictures.
The Wii game video posted after the break shows Viewtiful Joe fighting it out, and it looks rather decent. Supposedly, it’s out this winter in the US sometime, with the UK date to be announced.
Also, Mad Catz stopped by the Capcom booth at Comic-Con with a non-playable Fight Stick with artwork from the game plastered on it.
Apparently, the company is wanting feedback on it, so head on over to Capcom Unity and give your opinion on the matter. We know you have one.

Xbox division revenue down in Q4, 360 sales up to 11.2 million for FY
Xbox 360 and PC game revenue decreased $110 million or 12 percent in the three months ending June 30, Microsoft said today.
Gaming revenue decreased $161 million or 3 percent over the full year.
The firm’s Entertainment and Devices division as a whole made a loss of $130 million in Q4, a saving on the $171 million lost in the same quarter in the previous year.
For the full year, the EED remained in profit to the tune of $169 million, down 66 percent on the previous year.
“Decreased Xbox 360 console sales” and price-cutting in the past 12 months were blamed for the sales drop, although increased – and unspecified – rises in Live revenue spared greater pain.
Microsoft confirmed that 1.2 million 360 consoles were sold in the fourth quarter, compared to 1.3 million in the previous corresponding period.
The picture for console sales in the full year was pretty, though. Microsoft said that 11.2 million 360 units were sold during fiscal year 2009, compared with 8.7 million during fiscal year 2008
Get the full shebang here. The top-line stuff for MSFT corp isn’t “cool”.
