LittleBigPlanet hits one million levels

LittleBigPlanet players have uploaded one million levels since release and have been played 244 million times.
According to Media Molecule, a new level was published every 21 seconds since launch, and it would take around five years, playing 24 hours a day, to play through all levels.
To celebrate, Media Molecule has released a video hinting at more things to be revealed August 18.
Watch it below or over on the US PS Blog.

The video doesn’t hint at anything, that’s just a collage of many user created levels.

Fuck that puts perspective…
5 years non stop….
And in that time, there be will 6 million levels….
So for LBP2, they defitnely will have to include the current userbase, won’t they? This is crazy long term.

Was the pumpkinhead the hint? Halloween costumes?
Wow, I love LBP, but that’s a crazy amount of content.
I wish they’d give the costumes a break and release some more packs like the MGS pack, though.

The Halloween costume was released last Halloween.
Something “bigger than MGS” is said to come soon. Soon is obviously very relative as they have been saying that for a while. :/

Judging by the price its a small pack like the Ghostbusters pack, so a bunch of costumes and a few stickers.
