Team 17 spent $2.5 million to make Alien Breed trilogy

Martyn Brown, studio director for Team 17, told Develop attendees that it cost the firm $2.5 million to create the Alien Breed trilogy for Xbox Live Arcade.
“It makes it one of the most expensive digital titles to-date,” he told the crowd while stating that Team 17 employed around 30 people for 14-15 months to create the title.
Alien Breed is to be released in three parts starting in October and is expected to take a total of 15 hours to finish.

Wait, what? Trilogy? I didn’t realise this was being split up into ‘episodes’. They’d better be cheap.

People will buy the first one and that’s about it really.

Trilogy? Meh. I thought they were working on one single title called Alien Breed Evolition. Also, I didn’t know that it would be a remake of the classic title(s)…

I don’t recall it being split up into three parts before either, not liking the sound of that unless they’re in the region of 400 points a pop.
