Over 57,000 sign StarCraft II LAN petition
More than 57,000 people have now signed a petition to get LAN functionality put into StarCraft II, as notice by IGN.
The effort went live immediately after Blizzard confirmed the feature wouldn’t make the game.
StarCraft II will only be playable competitively through the next version of Battle.Net.
The game has no release date as yet.

Were they all in the same room when they did it?

What I’m wondering is why they diden’t go the Battlefield route? You have to log into your EA account before you start playing, wich tracks stats and deals with the piracy issue, but after that the game simply runs locally if you choose LAN.
Everybody wins.

We don’t know how the new Battle.net works so that option might not be out of the question yet, Freek.
