Japanese Amazon reviewers don’t like DQIX
Dragon Quest IX shipped in Japan over the weekend. The kids aren’t happy, if this set of Amazon review scores is anything to go by.

Wouldn’t put this past a collective effort on behalf of the PS fanboys annoyed that it’s switched to DS. Reports from platform-agnostics suggest it’s a bit of a corker.
(It’s also had the biggest opening weekend ever. Of any videogame. In any territory. Ever.)

Hero of Canton: It has nothing to do with PlayStation “fanboys”. In the future, spare us your ignorant, uninformed generalizations. The problem is it’s a numbered entry in a huge series, and it’s on a handheld console. That’s what pisses people off, not that it has jumped from a Sony console back to a Nintendo console. It’s nothing new. People get pissed off over far less — like when online Final Fantasy games get a number.
