EA turned down deal with UFC, pissed off UFC president
Back in the days before everyone and his curiously muscular little sister were getting involved in mixed martial arts, UFC president Dana White approached Electronic Arts about a potential videogame deal between the two companies. Apparently, that particular talk didn’t go so well.
“EA Sports told us, ‘You’re not a real sport. We wouldn’t touch this thing. We want nothing to do with this,’” White said to MMA Junkie.
“We put our asses on the line, THQ and the UFC, to make a video-game deal in the worst economy in the world,” White continued. “We go out there and do this thing, and it’s successful, and now [expletive] EA Sports wants to do a video game. Really? That’s not what you told us a year-and-a-half ago.
White now considers the UFC “at war” with EA’s MMA offering, and will blacklist fighters from competing in the UFC if they sign on to throw virtual fisticuffs and Jiu Jitsicuffs with EA.

I wondered why EA didn’t get this game.. THQ knocked it out of the park with the single player.. hopefully next year we get even more fighters and non retarded lag online.
Dana White has every right to shove it in EAs face.. UFC is on the up and up and EA is crashing and burning.. lol..
Whoever axed a deal with the UFC at EA hopefully was fired because this is a true epic fail. Might explain why their company is always getting shit on.

umm anyone who thinks EA sucks is a fucking moron. they own bioware, that alone is enough to justify them in anything they do. Dead space, fight night, burnout paradise, rock band, they publish crysis, fifa is number 1, skate, their nintendo game is tight. im sorry, but you all need to pass the shit ur smokin cuz EA is takin over. all acti has is COD.

Does it hurt having EA’s “We’ve bought 9 out of every 10 studios” cock that far in your bung hole?
Oh, and since EA is so great apparently because they bought Bioware, well Acti joined with Blizzard dude and that’s the WoW powerhouse worth Gazillions.

is your point that EA sucks because they buy a lot of studios? last time I checked more studios meant more games = better for us. you realize sometimes these studios need money to make games right? bioware is putting out 3 games at once with EA backing them, one spanning 40 novels. please tell me what other publishers have done to make a studio better.
how far up your ass is acti’s dick? it’s a business and EA has adapted to gamer’s needs instead of milking established franchises. go get addicted to crackcraft and play COD sequels for the rest of your life. id take the original content EA is pushing over that any day of the week.
and thq’s ufc is garbage. thq’s only decent looking game is red faction. i played the UFC demo once and went straight to fight night
