EA turned down deal with UFC, p**sed off UFC president

Back in the days before everyone and his curiously muscular little sister were getting involved in mixed martial arts, UFC president Dana White approached Electronic Arts about a potential videogame deal between the two companies. Apparently, that particular talk didn't go so well.

"EA Sports told us, 'You're not a real sport. We wouldn't touch this thing. We want nothing to do with this,'" White said to MMA Junkie.

"We put our asses on the line, THQ and the UFC, to make a video-game deal in the worst economy in the world," White continued. "We go out there and do this thing, and it's successful, and now [expletive] EA Sports wants to do a video game. Really? That's not what you told us a year-and-a-half ago.

White now considers the UFC "at war" with EA's MMA offering, and will blacklist fighters from competing in the UFC if they sign on to throw virtual fisticuffs and Jiu Jitsicuffs with EA.

More red-hot rantings through the link. Hide the children, though, because White's not afraid to contort his mouth into a position that looks a lot like "vacuum."
