LucasArts teases Monkey Island Special Edition for iPhone
Well, not so much as a tease, but a rather obvious hint as LucasArts twitpic‘ed some Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition artwork accompanied by this rather blatant message:
“For our Monkey fans – an iPhone sized wallpaper. No reason. Wink wink nod nod.”
It’s Monkey Island month this month it seems, as Telltale’s rather excellent Tales of Monkey Island launched last week, and the ‘Secret of’ Special Edition is due for PC and Xbox 360 on Wednesday.

Excellent. I’d felt a bit left out given that the PS3 was left out of both the Tales and remake announcements but Monkey Island on the iPod Touch will work very nicely indeed for me

Can only hope it’s a decent port of the game. In fact, anyone know if there’s a SCUMMVM version for iphone out yet?
Just hope they dont start whoring out the license now. Keep it clean guys, it’s a great franchise, don’t milk it to death.

You can get SCUMMVM on your phone if it’s jailbroken. No idea if they’re planning a proper release though.
