First UK 1 vs 100 game take place tonight
Microsoft’s just confirmed via Twitter that the first British 1 vs 100 show will take place tonight at 7.30pm BST.
We’re getting reader reports that the game’s downloading to dashboards as we type, and you now apparently have the option to set a reminder for tonight’s launch.
Thanks, BraveArse.

I’ll be playing, like a big whore. Can we join as parties etc?

I was just watching a video of it on YouTube and it looks quite fun! One day all quiz shows will be played like this.

Actually I’m surprised they’re not ‘bigging it up’ a bit more. This is precisely the sort of thing that’ll draw non-gamers in to the platform and can’t easily be replicated on the Wii.
Maybe we’ll see more of it once the beta’s over?

Hopefully, this is one of the first truly original things this gen. Proper scheduled game shows. It’s fun and makes you feel special for participating and has a nice customer focus to it by having people commentate on it live.
First I thought it was a shit idea, but actually, it’s one of the best idea’s Microsoft has had.

Is it scheduled to run every week?
Or is it a more ad hoc affair.

Cheats!
I wouldn’t mind having a go just out of curiosity, but I’m not allowed to play because I’m a scabby Silver type.

I tried the Google thing on the US beta. You really can’t do it fast enough to help you out.
Great if you want to absolutely avoid making any mistakes, but your score will be shit.

Isnt Pat Sharp doing it? Looks like it from the tweets Johnny Minkley had.

Minkley had pics of him on Twitter with the Fun House twins.

Took me a while to figure it out as I had vaguely remembered Fun House from the mid 90′s.

That was great.
Shame the live guy only turned up once though.

I didn’t get the live guy at all. It said “and now we return to our live host” or something and it just went back to the brown haired avatar mouthing just like it did everytime between rounds. Still, I was on a 27 question streak at the start (which I’m proud of even though the questions were piss easy).

The live thing depends on your internet connection. if you got the message about your network connection being slow, then you won’t hear him.

I didn’t see that message at all. On a 20mb connection here.

Strange, cause I heard him at least three times. He seemed to work fine every time I logged into it, but I only heard him once every time he did.
Oh well, it’s a beta after all. *shrug*
