Forza 3 won’t include dynamic weather or night racing

forza3

Turn 10 community manager Che Chou has revealed that Forza 3 will not include dynamic weather or night racing, according to a post on the official forums.

“No weather, night racing, or rally in the game,” he wrote.

While that may disappoint some, the fact that tons of cars are included in the game may pacify the down trodden.

“Any car is up for grabs,” he continued. “Just because we haven’t announced/shown it doesn’t mean it won’t make it into the game. We’re just trickling out info.

“Painter/tuner/drag/drift scoreboards. Yes, it’s all in the details. Which we haven’t revealed yet.”

Good to know.

Shucks, there goes my grand idea of performing 360 drifting at night in the rain.

I think this was pretty clear when they announced it… and further confirmed when they were at Le Mans with the game and didn’t take the opportunity to show off any night racing.

Is this the same developers who were saying they had run out of things to improve on Forza, it was all already included and perfected??

DLC or a patch at a later date probably, when/if they find out that GT5 has it…and all the indications are that GT5 will.

Thats what I loved about Le Mans 24 Hours on the DC. In the middle of the race the weather would change sometimes.

But seriously, how do you have a 24 hour race without day/night cycles, and with the different colored head lights? On a different planet maybe. Or in really really fast cars around the earth.

    Razor-
I doubt any decison is based on what GT5 will or will not include. At this point I think it has very much to do with compromises due to the 360 itself . If they could easily implement weather or night/day cycle, wouldn’t Turn 10 much rather increase the grid size for both MP and SP to something more than 8? With both GT5 and SHIFT having a 16 car grid, FM3’s 8 is meager count escpecially on longer races and on tracks like La Sarthe and Nordschliefe.
On a less serious note, I always thought Che was some Latino guy that work at Turn 10 only to discover that instead of Che Guevara, it’s more like Che Chou.

Quite a disappointment for me. I am not a big racer fan but I was considering purchasing Forza 3, not so much any more.

I agree with mykem. I mean the game’s coming on two disc. Whats that about? A la Gran Turismo 2 Arcade/Simulation?
