SCEE scotches Uncharted 2 October release talk

Not sure what’s going on here. GoOnl!ne’s published some quotes from a “SCEE rep” saying Uncharted 2′s “currently scheduled for an October release.”

We checked in with SCEE PR to be told by email that:

“We’ve not announced any official release date for Uncharted. It’s scheduled for an ‘autumn release,’ and we’ll obviously announce an exact date in due course.”

Guess that’s that then. Cologne for more, almost certainly.

I honestly dont know whats going on, I was just told that it would be coming for October after I went looking for a date, no specfic date given, just October.

Either someone’s made a big poo-poo or some’s retracting.

Well.. October is Autumn. It would be better off in October than getting lost in the onslaught of November releases… This is the biggest game of the year on the PS3 for me.

All makes sense in the world again.

The October date was for review code and assets, according to Jonathan Aghler (thats was who I asked by the by if your wondering Pat)

Gonna edit the article to reflect this.
