App Store now home to over 13,000 games

According to this Mobclix chart, the App Store now has more than 13,000 games on sale for iTouch devices.
At the time of writing, 22.6 percent of those titles are free, the rest being premium.
There’s no percentage available on how many are “any good” or not.
More on GI.

I was looking for ONE the other day and ended up downloading none!
On top of that, my favourite game (Fifteen) just updated itself, and now it seems riddled with bugs!

11,743 of them are games in which you tilt the phone to stop a ball dropping down a hole and 1,176 are racing games which make the RC car game in the EA Sports Home space look like Gran Turismo 6.
No button gaming FTW! PSP is dead! Etc etc…..

Yeah announcing that a platform has 13.000 games is a bad thing because only a handful of games are actually good and the rest is crap. Its like with user generated Little Big Planet levels. 99% of them are crap only a few are good.

I think its a great thing for the consumer. Not everything is to everyones taste. But at least it is giving smaller devs to get their games out there.
