ELSPA PR blunder mis-lists UK half-year sales

Remember those half-year UK sales figures ELSPA and Chart-track released this morning? They were wrong.
The agency that sent out the data’s just apologised: it was for single formats, not all formats.
Could happen to anyone. Here’s the real top ten in Britain for the first six months of calendar 2009:
- Wii Fit
- FIFA 09
- COD: WAW
- Resident Evil 5
- Wii Play
- Mario Kart Wii
- Prof Layton
- Mario & Sonic
- SFIV
- GH World Tour
Thanks, Johnny.

Well that explains a lot!
Although now 8 out of the 10 weren’t released in 2009 instead of 7.

lol, I thought the same thing, Razor, when I saw the other charts. I mean no doubt Killzone 2 moved a few units, but that many? no wai

Shame. But it’s not all bad news for the exclusive KZ2; there’s five games there which are available on two or more platforms; it’s still the fifth best-selling game UK-wide when you divide sales up between platforms.
