Techland says Dead Island is still in the works

Techland (Call of Juarez) has said that its zombie game Dead Island is still in the works, just that details are hush-hush per the unnamed publisher’s request.
“All we are allowed to say is that the game is in development and doing great and that all future updates regarding the game will come directly from the publisher,” Techland’s Blazej Krakowiak told G4TV.
The non-linear first-person shooter allows you to use anything you find in your surroundings as a weapon and is expected to land on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, eventually.
Looks like there’s no sign of the zombie invasion whittling any time soon. Start polishing your shotguns.

Kind of disappoints me to see game developers jumping on the bandwagon when a specific type of game is successful.
Hate copycats

Its not bandwagon jumping either it was announced with screenshots before L4D.
I’ve been interested since the first screens of the facial damage models, which now resembles L4D 2 sadly. Im hoping for Far Cry with zombies to be honest.
I was also mightily impressed by Techlands Chrome 2 Engine, which I think this game is using, its very attractive.
