Fallen Earth debut video looks and sounds “rockin’”
“Sick of ogres, elves and pixies? So are we. Lose the tights. Bury your crystals. Quit playing with your wand. Come get the real deal. Thus ain’t Daddy’s MMO.”
That’s what the debut trailer for Fallen Earth asks the viewers.
It shows off the post-apocalyptic MMO’s settings and effects with a heavy metal guitar hammering in the background.
Interesting concept. Let’s hope the developers pull it off.

Maybe interesting if the leveling system is actually different. If I see a WoW type leveling system and gameplay I’m pushing this a side. Sick to death of wow clones.

They should have used rap/hiphop if they were trying to appeal to the dumb gun-nut kiddies, it’s even been Scientifically researched that metal is generally most popular with intelligent folk, students especially. It tends to be a great form of stress relief and a way to unwind.
So the mix of the gratingly obnoxious and patronising gansta attitude (I was almost expecting to hear “DIS BE FOW DA O.G. KIDS, YO!”), the irritating screen shaking, and the seemingly out-of-place metal track is giving me some truly mixed messages about exactly whom the desired target audience of this game is.
They may just be poorly informed as to what type of music appeals to which groups, they need to take hints from GTA about that.

Well if you put the message from the trailer to the side and the music the actual concept looks interesting. I’m a huge fallout 3 fan so an MMO in a simaler post apocalyptic universe is really interesting to me.
Most of the message spoke to me because I am sick to death of elves and wands. But simaler to what I said in my above post I’m sick to death of MMO’s just looking different but playing exactly the same as WoW.
