First Dante gameplay footage released – instawin

I dunno… some of it looks really great, but the actual in-game environments seemed sort of bland and empty.

Do we actually have a date for this yet? I thought they’d said “next year”, but they’re doing a lot of promotion for it if it’s still over six months away.

I’m totally sold after seeing it run. I think it’s got the potential to be one of the biggest “gamer games” of next year, just as Dead Space was in 2008.

I reckon it’ll be Q1/Easter next year. They’ll want it in this FY, I’m sure.

God of War goes to Hell, it does look good, but I feel I may have played it before..

I have been looking for this game ever since I heard about it. Dead Space was the best survival horror game I have played in years especially with what they did to Silent Hill: Homecoming and making RE more action orientated. But Dead Space was a game where I actually got scared. Not saying Dante’s Infernal is supposed to be scary but it does hit the same dimented view that brought Dead Space. Can’t wait!!

Still in the wait and see camp. Scythes are fun though.

Still stinks of GOW & Ninja Gaiden. Not that this is a terribly bad thing; if the level design and boss encounters are good enough then it could be a winner, but this gameplay looks startlingly familiar.

Can’t say any of that really got me excited. Looks like a supermarket brand God Of War.

You guys do Know GoW was Sony version of Devil May Cry right. SOny has been doing this for years a type of game becomes famous they go and make thier own version ie FF7 did very well so they went and made Legend of Dragoons, DMC did very well so they went and stole a womans script that was sent to Sony. Then David Jaffe who was in charge of the first two parts of GOW is now not in the developement of GoW 3.

I find it very interesting that Visceral went and took one of the best known writings and made it a game and it looks like they made it just as twisted.

Can’t wait to get this game…will butter myself up right now…oh look I’m salivating!!

What happened to the stuff from the trailers? Wheres the ginat eye-less maggot things? Why is it just giant guys that are different colours.

Uh huh. Whats with all of these types of games?

Castlevania, Dantes, Bayonetta and God of War. It’s like all of a sudden.

You wait a fucking age for a God of War game, then two come along at once!!
Looks fucking good, hopefully the environments and fighting system will keep my interest and determined to finish the game.
