“we’re monitoring it..considering it..discussing..”. Turbine’s motto: why bother doing things today when there’s an infinite number of tomorrows?

Game’s rapidly becoming trash. Gear-gating alone is bad enough, and this book brings EVEN more gear-gating. The instances are bugged as hell, the champ nerf is pure incompetence, crafting has become even more useless. Sure, they say, its growing….of course, casual berks will love the new dumbed down mechanics, difficulty and instances

LOTRO seems to have a split personality at the moment: On the one hand they’re redoing the lower-level zones one by one to make them more accessible and streamlined, and more focused on the game’s story-lines, and on the other hand they’re adding high-end gear-gated raids and instances, in the traditional MMO-raiding vein that even WoW has abandoned, and with this also seem to be abandoning LOTRO’s original “it’s all about the journey” philosophy.

I’ve been wanting to get into a new MMORPG for some time. This might just convince me to give this a bash. It seems like the game is developing along nicely.
