There are adverts between rounds in 1 vs 100 too, so it could have something to do with that.

Don’t you occasionally get ads already? I’ve seen “boxes with video” within the NXE interface before advertising movies or sports events.

Probably within the segments of TV like Sky or Canal+ when watching their content (which are probably running on silverlight anyway), MS said in the past they didn’t want ad’s on the NXE itself like the old dash had.
