Below is the Lips Number One Hits trailer. The kidz playing it are too cool for school: esoteric hair, bright mish-mash colours being passed off as “funky” coupled with needless hair and body accessories; you know the type.
If that’s you, then you’ll love this.

Kaos’ Homefront is like Half Life 2 meets Ghost Recon: AW, says EG

There’s a glowing preview of Kaos Studio’s Homefront over at Eurogamer that we thought we’d bring to your attention.
Here’s a snip:
We haven’t swung the high-concept bat around here for a while, so how about this: Half-Life 2 meets Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter. Valve’s love of first-person storytelling, high-end graphics and mysterious military occupation, and Ubisoft’s love of near-future weaponry, remote-control UAVs and current-day politics stretched to a fictional extreme. Kaos Studios’ Homefront will have to go an enormous way to live up to that billing – and the developers aren’t so immodest as to refer to either chart-topper when I visit – but the parallels are all there on the surface.
Interested? Full think through the link.

Cameron pleased with Ubisoft as Avatar creative partner

Hollywood director James Cameron told the crowd at Ubisoft’s E3 conference yesterday that he felt the company was the best choice of creative partner for Avatar.
“Technically, we have a lot in common with Ubisoft and the game world,” said Cameron.
“We utilized highly sophisticated technologies in creating Avatar so, when it came to choosing a game company, I wanted a partner that would not only be inspired creatively by the world of Avatar but would have the capacity to keep up with the challenging demands of its technological needs. Ubisoft was that company.”
The game ships this December for high def consoles, PC, Wii and handhelds.
Full press release after the break.
