Red Faction: Guerrilla getting three DLC packs

redfactioniii5

Red Faction: Guerrilla players can expect three upcoming packs for the game.

The first one to be announced was Demons of the Badlands, and its expected to launch on Xbox Live and PSN August 13 for 800 MS Points ($9.99).

It will expand on the single-player experience providing a new mission arc occurring outside of the “expansive world”.

No word on on what the other two entail, or extra specifics for Demons of the Badlands were forthcoming, but keep checking back with us.

Thanks, D’toid.

I played the demo and was not impressed with the gameplay or narrative setup. The game engine however was quite amusing. Instead of following whatever pre-determined route the designers wanted me to go through, i just ran about with that trusty hammer the character weilds and battered every building in site to the ground. I found it much more entertaining than the game itself.

I agree though, the ‘DLC love’ is disproportionate to the quality these types of games offer. More DLC for games that we actually would like to play more of, after all, is that not the whole point.

In any case, the developers that created the games that we would actually want DLC for are probably too busy working on other projects rather than attaching go-faster stripes to their finished products.
