Battlefield 1943 to get “trial version”

Battlefield 1943 won’t have a beta, EA DICE producer Gordon Van Dyke has said in a live interview on Eurogamer, but there’ll be a demo to make up for it.
Said the developer: “No beta, but we have a trial version that lets you confirm what you already thought – that this game is the best $15 I will ever spend!”
It’s out this summer, download-only. Full thing through there.

I cant wait for this, already got my 1200MS points saved and ready to go. Every Arcade title has to have a demo, don’t know what the rules are for PSN though.

Not impressed with Eurogamer :/ They completely changed my submitted question in the Q&A live chat.

BF2 demo was the bollocks. It immediately sold me on the game, so awesome

Yeah, I put loads of time into the BF2 demo, which was also the only time I ever played Gulf of Oman, because when the game came out we were all so sick of it from the demo it was left off most server rotations

hehe, true that. Loved the hotel roof sniping place, at least until Jalalabad took its place
